| The UNWG Exploring Rome Group | Dec 5, 2006 |
Welcome to the Exploring Rome Page! The Exploring Rome Group (ERG) is part of the United Nations Women's Guild of Rome (UNWG-Rome) and twice annually (in autumn and in the spring) proposes a series of ten walks aimed at introducing / explaining the many wonders and gems (art, architecture, history) of the Eternal City to Members and Friends.
The visits are available to UNWG Members/Associate Members at Euro 60; Euro 70 to Non-Members. Single visits are Euro 8 for Members and Euro 10 for Non-Members. (Some of the visits may involve an entrance fee.)
The fees cover the cost of the guide; whatever is left over is donated to the UNWG Welfare Fund at the end of the year for projects that assist women and children in need throughout the world.
All outings take place on Wednesdays at 9:45 unless otherwise stated and usually finish around midday.
Our resident guide is Gino Mazzone, the author of the articles on the walks (unless stated otherwise) is Nelia Ruiz Cortez, and the photographer is Anne Marie Hupin. (Since 2010, our new phtographer is Dirk Van Gansberghe, who happens to be Anne Marie's brother.)
One piece of advice: try to view the photos as a slideshow, to be able to read the hidden comments under each photo. You can find the Fall 09 Programme below in the section "The Eternal City Has More to Offer."
